Abadali Sheikh

Abadali Sheikh brings experience in research computing, systems engineering, cybersecurity, and compliance to Empire AI. Prior to joining Empire AI, he was a Systems Engineer with Research Computing Services at Columbia University, where his work focused on the secure research lifecycle, including secure research infrastructure, data platforms, governance, risk, and compliance. Earlier, he was part of the information security launch team for Disney+ at Disney Streaming Services.

Abadali holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from Fordham University and has also held CompTIA Security+ certification.

At Empire AI, Abadali focuses on security and compliance, including efforts to build secure high-performance computing infrastructure capable of supporting researchers working with HIPAA-protected and other regulated data. His work will help expand the types of sensitive and data-intensive research that can be conducted securely using Empire AI’s computing resources.
