Kiran Keshav

Kiran Keshav led Yale University’s research computing enterprise for over a decade, shaping the vision for advanced computing services and serving as the inaugural Executive Director of the Yale Center for Research Computing. He played a central role in establishing and scaling Yale’s research computing organization, developing its team, services, and infrastructure from inception. Under his leadership, Yale became an equal partner in the Massachusetts Green High Performance Computing Center (MGHPCC), positioning the university to tackle future computing challenges beyond the scale of a single institution.

Before joining Yale, Kiran was the founding Chief Technology Officer at Betterment, where he helped launch and scale the company from a startup into a leading consumer-finance platform and recognized industry unicorn. He previously led technical teams at Columbia University’s Center for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, supporting cutting-edge research in the life sciences.

Kiran holds an Executive M.S. in Technology Management from Columbia University, where he focused on the commercialization of scientific innovations, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.
